Have you had a DC or not it burn?
Connect a DC adapter (240V AC Mains UK production 9V 1A) to a House of CCTV. It worked fine for about 30 minutes, then I heard a pop, slight burning smell and the main fuse circuit breaker tripped on board. The review found later inside the adapter circuit severe burns, with a rattle component inside. Is this a common problem, have you had a similar experience with an adapter CD? What could be the cause? Good responses so far, thanks. I just noticed that the product description specified a 12V source, but the adapter supplied with the camera that is 9V. Would it make sense?
The voltage regulator inside the box has not been made to provide for many amplifiers of current, depending on model. the camera has attracted most of the regulatory body can handle. Overdemanded regulator if the current for a while, then jumped too hot. This is probably the situation.
